A spy assigned to steal the research of Dr. Bruce Banner, Emil Blonsky accidentally exposed himself to gamma rays. Rather than killing him, the radiation transformed Blonsky into a green-skinned beast. In a cruel twist of fate, he could not revert to human form, but maintained his personality and intelligence. Now known as The Abomination, he understood all too well that he could never return to his former life or the wife who now believes he is dead. Given his gamma-spawned origins, Blonsky blames his condition on Banner and his brutish alter ego, the Hulk. The Abomination and the Hulk have clashed on numerous occasions, with Blonsky perpetually playing the role of aggressor. Blonsky occasionally gains the upper hand in their battles, but the Hulk always triumphs in the end. Over time, this has driven Blonsky nearly insane in his hatred for Banner. The Abomination grew further incensed upon learning Banner had married Betty Ross, the daughter of General 'Thunderbolt' Ross. Blonsky had lost his wife, so it seemed only fair to him that Banner should be forced to part with Betty. While she was recovering from radiation sickness caused by exposure to the gamma radiation within Banner, Blonsky fatally poisoned her. The Abomination's grand plan failed, however, when Banner forgave Blonsky. The Abomination could not comprehend or endure his enemy's absolution, and his moment of triumph was twisted into crushing defeat. Blonsky realized he had become what he hated: he, not the Hulk, was the rampaging, inhuman monster. This BIG bust stands approximately 9-inches-tall and comes fully painted and ready to display out of the box. This bust is limited to a production run of only 350 pieces.
