The Concert Grand Piano miniature features a real opening top. This allows the chime-like tones to be released for all to hear. Chromatically tuned, the sound is made by little hammers striking steel music rods. Each piano is made from solid maple and 1/2" multi-ply birch. They are painted in White or Black or stained in Mahogany. The interior is hand finished to match your choice of the exterior. The hinge is designed to gradually raise and lower so that little fingers cannot be caught. A removable color strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord.
