Stan the Man is an Earthling born and raised on the red planet Mars. In the future, people will travel to Mars and eventually colonize the planet. It is unlikely that life currently exists on Mars, so Stan and other human pioneers will one day become the first true Martians. They will build cities inside giant protective domes to keep people safe from Mars?ÇÖ cold and dangerous surface. Stan?ÇÖs body will have adapted to living on Mars. His lungs will be larger and legs longer than those of Earthlings. Ultimately Stan?ÇÖs descendents will terraform Mars, changing the entire planet so it will support human life. For now, the story of Stan the Man is science fiction, but one day we may encounter such Martians. |
